Dr. Morteza Rezazadeh

Founder and president of Hikmat International Institute will lead this learning tour. As a graduate of the Islamic Seminaries of Qom and Hartford Seminary in the United States, he is an expert in Religions; mainly Islamic Studies and Christian-Muslim Relations. As a professor of Islamic history, theology and jurisprudence, he is ideally equipped to introduce foreigners to the culture and religion of Oman.

  • Arrival in Muscat

    – welcome meeting

Morning:
– Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque
– Old part of Muscat city
– Portuguese forts, Jalali and Mirani
– Sidab Women’s Group

 

Afternoon:
– Traditional Bazaar (souq)
– National Museum or Royal Opera House

February 8

Morning:
– Hawiyat Najim Park
– Wadi Tiwi (nine villages, emerald pools and thick date plantations)

 

Afternoon:
– Departure to Ras al Jinz
– Turtle Reserve (an important turtle-nesting site for the endangered green turtle)

February 9

Morning:
– Leave to Sur (an important city of Oman’s maritime past)
– Visit One of the Dhow Factory
– Wadi Bani Khalid (deep blue pools)

 

Afternoon:
– Wahiba Sands (a desert landscape)
– visit Bedouin family (the nomadic life and traditions)
– Desert Camp

February 10

Morning:
– Daparture to Nizwa
– Birkat Ul Mauz (ancient system for irrigation)
– Jabrin Castle (one of the finest Castles in Oman)

 

Afternoon:
– Arrive in the old town of Nizwa
– Nizwa fort (with massive Circular Cannon Tower)

February 11

Morning:
– Nizwa Souk
– Misfat Al Abyreen (the Best Tourism Villages by UNWTO)
– Local bee farms and organic honey
– Omani lunch at traditional house in the village

 

Afternoon:
– Jebel Shams (Oman’s highest peak at 10,000 feet)

February 12

Morning:
– Wadi Bani Awf (snake gorge)
– Bilad Sait (a remote fortress village in the heart of the mountain range)

 

Afternoon:
– Back to Muscat

February 13
